Today’s Blessings – September 06, 2025 | Day 246 of 365

“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

When Weakness Feels Overwhelming

Life often reminds us of our limits. Whether through exhaustion, stress, illness, or struggles we cannot control, we are brought face to face with our weakness.

Paul knew this reality well as he wrestled with his own “thorn in the flesh.” Yet it was in that place of weakness that God spoke one of the most powerful promises: “My grace is sufficient for you.”

Our weakness doesn’t disqualify us from God’s love or help; it creates space for His strength to shine through us.

The Beauty of Sufficient Grace

God does not promise a life without struggle, but He does promise sufficient grace—a grace that meets us exactly where we are, in every trial and every season.

When your strength runs out, His grace carries you.

When doubts rise, His grace anchors you.

When fear grips your heart, His grace gives courage.

Grace is not just unmerited favor—it is the daily power of God poured into your life, equipping you to endure, overcome, and grow.

Strength in the Midst of Weakness

We often believe we need to be strong to please God, but Paul reminds us that Christ’s power rests on us when we admit our weakness.

Your trials, struggles, and imperfections are not obstacles to God—they are opportunities for His glory.

Like clay jars holding treasure, our fragile lives reveal the greatness of His power. When we stop pretending to have it all together and lean fully on Him, we discover that His strength is limitless.

Learning to Rest in His Power

Resting in God’s grace requires surrender. It means admitting:

“I cannot do this on my own.”

“I need Your help, Lord.”

“I trust Your power over my weakness.”

Instead of fighting to appear strong, we can find peace in knowing God’s strength is made perfect right where we feel the weakest. This doesn’t make us failures—it makes us vessels for His glory.

A Call to Trust His Grace Today

Whatever “thorn” you are carrying today, whether emotional pain, physical struggle, or spiritual battle, God’s grace is enough for you. You may not see the full picture yet, but His power is at work in you. Trust Him to be your strength when you cannot go on.

Let this verse remind you: Weakness is not the end—it’s the doorway to Christ’s power.

Prayer for Today

Lord,

thank You that Your grace is always enough.

When I feel weak, remind me that Your power is made perfect in my weakness.

Help me to stop striving in my own strength and instead rest in Your strength that never fails.

May my struggles become testimonies of Your glory and grace.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection Question:
What area of weakness in your life do you need to surrender to God today so His power can shine through?
