“When You Feel Weak, I Will Carry You”
There are days when we wake up with a heavy heart, unsure how we’ll make it through. The strength we had yesterday feels distant, and our steps feel slower. If you’ve ever had a moment like this, you’re not alone. God sees your weariness—and He’s not disappointed. In fact, these are the very moments when His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 41:10 —
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
God does not expect you to carry every burden alone. His promise is not just that He is watching over you, but that He is actively helping you, strengthening you, and holding you up when you feel like falling.
You Don’t Have to Pretend to Be Strong
In a world that often tells us to “stay strong,” God invites you to come to Him just as you are—even when you’re weak, confused, or exhausted. He isn’t asking you to fake a smile or pretend you have it all together.
Instead, He says:
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
There is no shame in feeling tired or overwhelmed. There is only the opportunity to lean on the One who never grows weary, who never sleeps, and who never leaves your side.
When You Feel Forgotten, He Remembers You
Sometimes in seasons of weakness, it can feel like God is distant or silent. But even in the silence, He is near.
Psalm 34:18 reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
If your heart is hurting today, if you’ve been carrying silent battles, know this: God sees you. He has not forgotten you. He is with you in this very moment.
He Is Carrying You
Think of a loving parent who picks up their child when they’re too tired to walk. That’s how God is with us. Deuteronomy 1:31 describes it beautifully:
“…the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.”
You may not feel strong enough for today, but God is strong enough for both of you. When your energy runs out, His grace kicks in. When your courage fades, His Spirit stands firm within you. He is not asking you to perform—He’s asking you to rest in Him.
Today’s Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me right where I am.
When I feel weak, remind me that Your strength is enough.
Help me release my burdens to You and trust that You are working in ways I cannot see.
I surrender this day to You, knowing that You will carry me when I cannot walk on my own.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Don’t be discouraged if today feels heavy. Let this be the day you pause and let God lift you.
Let His love be your anchor, His peace your guide, and His strength your source. You are not alone—and you are deeply loved.
