Today’s Blessings – September 09, 2025 | Day 251 of 365

Scripture Reading:
Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

A Divine Call to Courage

Life is filled with moments that test our courage. From making big life decisions to facing unexpected challenges, fear can creep in and shake our confidence. God knows this, and He speaks directly to us through Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

This verse is not just a command; it is a promise. God calls you to stand firm and move forward, not relying on your own strength, but on His unending presence. Courage is not the absence of fear—it’s trusting God in the midst of it.

Strength Comes From God

When God tells us to “be strong,” He is reminding us that true strength does not come from our abilities, resources, or understanding—it comes from Him.

You may feel weak, unprepared, or inadequate, but God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness. Just as He empowered Joshua to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, He will equip you for the challenges in your life today. Strength is not measured by what you can do alone; it is measured by how much you rely on Him.

Take a moment to breathe and invite God’s strength into your heart. Say a prayer, lean on His promises, and step forward, even when you feel unsure.

Courage in the Face of Fear

Fear is natural. Fear can arise when you face the unknown, a difficult decision, or a situation that feels overwhelming. Yet God’s Word tells us not to be afraid or discouraged. Courage is not the absence of fear; it is the choice to trust God despite your fear.

Remember, God is always by your side. He goes before you, behind you, and walks with you every step of the way. Your fears do not dictate your path—God does.

God’s Constant Presence

The most powerful part of Joshua 1:9 is God’s promise: “The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

No matter the circumstances—whether you are stepping into a new job, facing a health challenge, or navigating a difficult relationship—you are never alone. God’s presence is your safety, your guidance, and your comfort. Knowing He is with you allows you to move forward with confidence, courage, and peace.

Living Courageously

How can you live this truth today?

Pray for courage. Ask God to fill you with His boldness and calm your fears.

Speak His promises aloud. Remind yourself of Joshua 1:9 whenever fear rises.

Take one bold step. Whether it’s making a decision, having a difficult conversation, or starting a new project, move forward trusting God.

Encourage others. Share this verse with someone who may be struggling, helping them also lean on God’s strength.

Courage grows when we act in faith. Every small step you take trusting God strengthens your heart and deepens your reliance on Him.

Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father,

thank You for Your promise to be with me always.

Help me to be strong and courageous, even when fear surrounds me.

Remind me that I do not walk alone, and that Your presence goes before me.

Fill me with Your strength, calm my heart, and guide my steps today.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Closing Thought

Today, remember that courage is not about having no fear—it’s about trusting God in spite of it. Step forward with confidence, knowing that the Creator of the universe is walking with you. You are never alone, and with God by your side, you can face any challenge, overcome any obstacle, and live boldly in His promises.
